History

The Missionaries has started the school for the Deaf and blind at Rathmalana in 1912, the school for the deaf and mute at Ragama in 1935 and the school for the deaf and mute at Kaithadi in 1956. The Institution at Seeduwa has been inaugurated as a technical college for the visually handicapped and hearing impaired under the school program of the Shenana Missionary Organizaton of England. It has been arrogated by the government on 01st day of October 195.

The institute is located to the south of Liyanagemullavillage, which is 2.8 kilometers towards Negambo from the Seeduwa junction along the Colombo-Negambo main road.
